Vibrant Decorations Adorn Hanoi for Lunar New Year Celebration

Posters are displayed everywhere throughout the city, some with the messages “Happy New Year 2024 – the Year of the Dragon,” “Happy New Spring,” or “Celebrating 94 Years of the Communist Party of Vietnam.”
Office buildings across Hanoi are adorned in red as part of the festive celebrations.
A large banner has been erected at the headquarters of the Hanoi Party Committee, displaying the message “Celebrating 94 Years of the Communist Party of Vietnam.”
The festive atmosphere can be felt on every corner of the capital city.
The Lunar New Year holiday is the largest celebration in Vietnam, lasting for seven days this year for State employees.
Many venues have undergone major transformations to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Large posters have been placed on the main streets of the capital city to welcome the Lunar Year of the Dragon.
As the new year begins, local residents are hopeful that the economy will rebound from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and global challenges, leading to an improved quality of life.

Hanoi’s First Bike-Only Lane Set to Open

The Hanoi Department of Transport has announced that Hanoi will soon have a new 4km long and 4m wide cycle path along the To Lich River. This dedicated bicycle lane, which will pass through the Cau Giay and Dong Da districts, is set to open on February 1, 2024. The purpose of this project is to provide a safe and convenient transportation option for cyclists in the city. The cycle path will connect Lang Station of Cat Linh – Ha Dong Metro Line and No.8 Station of the Nhon-Hanoi Metro Line. The total investment for the project is estimated to be VND65 billion (US$2.64 million). There will be six public bicycle stations along the route, including two major stations at the Transportation University and Lang Station. These stations will provide approximately 100 bicycles and electric bikes to cater to the needs of Hanoi’s residents and students. Vietnamese Films in Running for ASEAN International Film Festival

Vietnam is set to participate in the upcoming ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2023 in Kuching, Malaysia from August 2 to August 4. The country will be showcasing two movies to compete for prestigious titles at the event. Overseas Vietnamese Commemorate Lunar New Year Festival in Kuala Lumpur
