The contestants of Miss Grand International 2023 had the opportunity to visit a famous historical site in Hanoi on October 5. The Hanoi Opera House will host Mat biec (Dreamy Eyes), a night of music featuring love songs by composer Ngo Thuy Mien, on August 12. Music director Nguyen Quang will tell the audience a respectful love story between Ngo Thuy Mien and his wife, Doan Thanh Van, who inspired the artist to compose throughout his life. Mien said all the songs are dedicated to Van, his only love. The couple currently live together in the US. Mien was born in 1948 in the northern city of Haiphong. He has authored about 70 love songs, which are so popular that many people call them Mien khuc (Ngo Thuy Mien’s songs). The show will feature young, talented singers. The Belgian Craft Beer Festival, which showcased up to 100 unique beers, is part of the activities in celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Belgium.  Nearly 500 participants attended the event held on April 22 in Hanoi. In 2023, Vietnam and Australia celebrate 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations. In celebration of this milestone, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia and the Australian Embassy in Vietnam jointly organized a logo contest. The winning logo will be used for official events in commemorative activities of the two countries. According to the Organizing Committee, the purpose of the contest is to find a logo that embodies the message of the partnership between Vietnam and Australia over the past 50 years. The logo also needs to show the shared achievements of the two countries, the hope for the future, and the message of “People – Partner – Prosperous”. After three months of launching, from 70 entries, on December 21, 2022, the contest announced the winning logo.
